Class: Curio & Relic Handgun
Description:

Manufactured in July 1942 (17.7) by the Nagoya Army Arsenal-Toriimatsu factory. Early style cocking knob with the three sections of knurling and late style large trigger guard. All blue finish. Fitted with horizontally serrated grips and a blued magazine with aluminum base numbered to a different gun (072).

Rating Definition:

Near excellent, retaining approximately 95% original blue finish with some sporadic light spotting, limited gray patina on the high edges and a smooth dark plum patina on the grip straps. There is a gash from the safety, otherwise the grips are fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically needs work.

Catalog Page: 74
Class: Curio & Relic Handgun
Description:

Manufactured in November 1942 (17.11) by the Nagoya Army Arsenal-Toriimatsu factory. Early style cocking knob with the three sections of knurling and late style large trigger guard. All blue finish. Fitted with horizontally serrated grips and a nickel plated magazine with aluminum base numbered to a different gun (975).

Rating Definition:

Very good. The pistol retains about half of the faded original blue finish mixed with dark plum patina strongest on the grip strap and some mild pitting. There is a gap between the trigger guard and receiver. There is a slight indentation on the right grip near the screw, otherwise the wood is good with some minor dings, dents and scratches and some chips in the serrations. Magazine catch does not function. The markings are clear.
