This is an example of an Argentine contract Government Model manufactured between 1914 and 1948 to supply the Argentine Government with .45 caliber semi-automatic pistols. Marked "COLT'S PT.F.A.MFG.CO.HARTFORD,CT.U.S.A." on the left of the slide with Colt's patent information directly below and the "Rampant Colt" directly behind it. The right side of the slide is marked with Argentina's crest and "EJERCITO ARGENTINO. / COLT CAL. 45 MOD. 1927" the top of the slide and the chamber is marked with the serial number. The frame is completely unmarked and has the long grip safety, arched mainspring and lanyard loop. Textured trigger with the finger grove on the frame. One 7 round magazine with the number 10474 on the floor plate.

Arsenal refurbished. High edges are worn on the slide with approximately 85-90% of the dull blue finish remaining. The markings are clear and crisp as is the Argentine crest and "Rampant Colt". There is some minor scattered pitting on the slide as well as some few scratches and dings. The frame shows some edge wear as well and fading on both the front and backstrap, as well as having some minor scratches and pitting scattered overall. The slide release lever has some minor small pitting and high edge wear. The grips are excellent.

Made in Argentina under license for sale to the Army. Fixed sights, with the serial number ahead of the rear sight, "D.G.F.M - (F.M.A.P.)" on the left side of the slide and the standard two line model marking next to the Argentine crest on the right. Matching numbers on the slide, barrel and frame, with the magazine numbered "4270" on the underside. Checkered trigger, wide hammer and arched mainspring housing. With checkered black plastic grips.

Excellent overall, with 98% of the Argentine Arsenal blue finish. A few minor handling marks are visible overall, along with a few bright spots and hints of a brown patina at the muzzle. Grips are very good, with a small chip absent from the right panel and mild pressure dents. Mechanically very good.
