Manufactured in 1947. Features a single nickel bead sight on a plain barrel with a serrated rear sighting plane on an uncheckered semi gloss American walnut pistol grip stock and 14 groove flat bottom forearm and black checkered composition buttplate. Chambered for 3 inch shells choked full. The left side of the barrel is marked with the standard one line address, patent date, trade mark, model and gauge designation. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches. Complete with manual and Winchester Model 42 pamphlet.

Excellent with approximately 97% original blue finish overall. There is some minor thinning at the muzzle and some minor to moderate thinning on the working surfaces of the magazine tube and barrel from the slide handle. In addition, there are a few minor handling marks on the finish and a very minor spot of surface oxidation on the top left side of the barrel. The stock is in very fine condition with multiple minor to moderate scratches/dents (mainly concentrated on the underside of the shoulder stock). The forearm is in very good plus condition with a few minor nicks and spots of varnish flaking. The bore is excellent and the markings are clear.
