Manufactured in 1904, the first year of production (serial numbering of early models began and ran consecutively with the Army and Navy revolvers). Features adjustable blade front and adjustable rear sights with flat top frame, serrated niter blue trigger and hammer, checkered front and rear grip straps, and deluxe checkered walnut grips. The top of the barrel is marked with the standard two line address/patent dates, and the left side of the barrel is marked, "OFFICERS MODEL" "COLT D.A. 38".

Excellent, 99% plus bright original high polish blue finish with edge and high spot wear with slight cylinder drag line. The grips and all markings are similarly conditioned. A simply outstanding conditioned early Officer Model for the collector.
