Description:

Produced from 1904 to 1908, this revolver was made in 1905, the second year of Officers Model production. Equipped with the flattop frame, windage adjustable rear sight, elevation adjustable front sight and the factory checkered backstrap and trigger face. Standard markings. Period flap holster is marked "S&B TRADEMARK ST. PAUL MINN." on the flap. With a handwritten note associating this pistol with a St. Paul Police Reservist named Jack Dempsey (the boxer?, more research needed).

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains approximately 90% of the original finish with thinning on the barrel and front strap. Most of the barrel has a smooth plum patina and the front strap is turning gray. There is high edge wear and some light spotting on the cylinder and frame. The hammer and trigger retain almost all of the bright fire blue finish. The hammer sides show some discoloration, however remain bright for the most part. The grips are excellent with a few minor dings and dents and crisp checkering. The holster is fine with some age cracking on the flap, some scuffs and tight stitching.
