Introduced by Winchester in 1931 the Model 21 was one of the companies finest efforts with regard to quality, reliability and strength. The Model 21 was introduced as a production line gun and moved to the custom shop in 1960 but it was in fact, a hand-build custom-made shotgun from the beginning. The Trap Grade was manufactured from 1932 to 1959 and features double ivory bead sights on the vent matte rib, 2 3/4" chambers, choked full/improved modified with ejector. The left side of the barrel is marked "WINCHESTER 12 GAUGE / 2 3/4 CHAM." and the bottom of the receiver is marked "TRAP". The water table is marked with the model and address. Barrel selector mounted in the trigger, tang safety and custom mounted with fancy, checkered beaver tail forearm with ebony insert and pistol grip stock with a contrasting wood grip cap and solid red rubber Winchester recoil pad. Length of pull approximately 14 1/4".

Professionally refinished to factory specifications, showing approximately 97% blue finish with very mild thinning on the barrels at the breech, a few streaks of gray from wear and gray patina forming on the trigger guard, forearm hardware and frame underside. There is extremely limited light spotting on frame. The wood is excellent with some minor scattered dings, a few minor cracks along the grain and a couple chips near the metal components. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
