Manufactured in 1938, this Winchester Model 97 shotgun has a single brass bead sight, chambered for 2 3/4" shells and choked full with a single slide rail and exposed hammer. The rail is marked "MODEL 97 / -WINCHESTER-" over the patent information and the bolt is marked "TRAP GUN". Mounted with a checkered straight grip stock with diamond shape ebony inserts on the wrist and fitted with a vented Pachmayr recoil pad. Length of pull is approximately 13 inches.

Refinished, with approximately 90% of the blue refinish with some fading and minor scattered light pitting overall. The tube magazine shows some moderate wear from the slide action. The receiver also displays some minor scattered pitting that was covered during refinish. The wood has been freshened and shows only light handling marks and some few scattered dings. Mechanically excellent.
