Manufactured from 1876 to 1884 with an estimated quantity at a few thousand. An unusual appearance with double trigger guards and three triggers. Front guard and single trigger are to release latch to open barrels. Single bead sight on a solid rib marked with the one line Chicopee Falls address. Damascus barrels with casehardened action and hammers. Mounted on a nicely figured smooth walnut straight grip stock and forearm. Length of pull approximately 13 3/4".

Very good. The barrels retain about 90% of the Damascus pattern with a smooth brown patina overall and some minor dark spotting. There is some minor pitting mostly at the breech. The rest of the metal surfaces have a balance between a smooth bright gray and smooth dark gray patina. There are a few hairline cracks on the wrist near the frame and upper tang and a chip at the toe, otherwise the freshened wood has some minor dings, a few moderate dents and some light chipping mostly on the forearm. The firing pins are replacements.
