Manufactured from 1914 and 1951. Features dual ivory bead sights on concave solid rib matte barrels with a finely checkered custom walnut stock and beavertail forearm, single checkered trigger, tang safety, automatic ejectors, and checkered bare butt. The barrels are blue, with the frame, side locks, trigger guard, tangs, and break lever all having been casehardened. Chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells, choked full. The top breech end of the barrel rib has a gold inlaid band followed by "HUNTER ARMS CO. FULTON, N.Y.". The action is moderately floral border scroll engraved with game scenes and extends to the trigger guard and fences. Both sides of the lock plates are identically engraved with a game scene of a quail amongst a cluster of field grass surrounded by scrollwork and marked, "L.C. SMITH" on the lower rear of the lock plate. Length of pull approximately 14 1/8".

Refinished with the barrels having been reblued with approximately 98% current finish with some minor thinning and scratches at the muzzle. The top of the barrel rib near the gold inlay exhibits a few nicks in the metal. The rest of the gun's casehardened finish has faded/been cleaned to a dull grey with some minor spotting and smoothed over pitting (mainly on the lock plates), with the engravings not having been affected. The stock has been replaced with nicely checkered custom wood, exhibiting a few minor handling marks with one moderate pressure dent/scratch approximately 3 inches in length on the lower right side of the shoulder stock. Mechanically needs work on the trigger and forearm latch, with clear markings.
