Round knob checkered pistol grip stock with checkered hard rubber buttplate (missing circle insert) and checkered side flats. Has a checkered forearm with engraved hardware. Length of pull is approximately 13 7/8". Included is a letter from Savage/Stevens/Fox historian John T. Callahan that confirms the serial number and states that there are no factory records available for this gun.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The shotgun retains about 60% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina and some minor pitting. Heavy amounts of vivid and bright case colors remain on the forearm hardware in the protected areas. The frame retains traces of case color around the fences, under the break lever, on the water table and around the triggers, otherwise has faded to a gray patina. There is a filled repair at the toe, otherwise the freshened wood is fine with numerous minor dings and some minor scratches. The checkering is crisp.
