Standard markings on top of the barrel with Hunter Arms markings on the left barrel and "L.C. SMITH IDEAL GRADE" with outward facing arrows on the right barrel. The barrels are 30 inches in length with a concave solid matte rib and brass bead, 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked full/improved modified with extractors and a tang mounted automatic safety. The action is casehardened with "L.C. SMITH" stamped on both side plates and a broad leaf engraving with a simple zigzag border. Mounted with a checkered splinter forearm with ebony forend insert and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap and buttplate. 13" inch length of pull, 2 5/8" drop in comb and 2 1/2" drop in heel.

Very good. The barrels retain approximately 98% of the re-blue finish with moderate thinning at the breech and muzzles. There are scattered areas of smooth plum patina. The engraving remains crisp at the receiver and the vivid case colors are present on 70% of the surface with the remaining being a smooth gray. The trigger guard retains approximately 90% of the blue finish. The wood is very good with deeply pronounced checkering and some overall scattered minor scratches and dents. The buttplate is chipped on the toe. Mechanically excellent.
