This is an extremely rare Colt Z 40 pistol. This was a joint commercial venture initiated by Colt to have a new Colt designed semi-automatic manufactured in the Czech Republic for Colt with approximately 850 produced before the project was stopped. These pistols were intended to be a blend of the Super CZ-75 internal pistol mechanism with an Model 1911A1 style grip. It is a double action only design with three dot sights, bobbed hammer and checkered grips. Complete with photocopied Guns & Ammo June 2001 article pertaining to Z 40 pistols and a blue plastic Colt case numbered to gun, papers and extra magazine.

As new, retaining over 99% of the original blue finish with only the slightest handling marks. The grips are near new with some light handling marks. Exceptional Colt pistol with limited production.
