Manufactured in 1947 in a rare single caliber (.22 LR) configuration with a rifled octagon barrel. Has an all blue finish and marked "-WINCHESTER/ PROOF STEEL-" followed by "-MODEL 61-", "WINCHESTER / -TRADE MARK-" and "-22 LONG R.-" on the left barrel flat. Silver bead front sight mounted on a dovetail blade, sporting rear sight, 3/4 length magazine tube, 17 groove flat bottom slide handle and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine, with approximately 90% of the original blue finish with gray patina on the high edges, some moderate slide handle wear and some minor spotting. Gray patina is forming on the trigger guard and some minor flaking on the upper tang. The action bar has some pin point pitting. The refinished wood has some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
