The saber has a 29 1/2 inch curved blade, with wide single fuller. The blade is engraved with gold filled designs on the sides. There is a faint makers mark on the reverse ricasso. The saber has a cast brass hilt with brass guard, with "D" shaped knuckle bow, unmarked quillion and languets. The saber has a ribbed bone grip and eagle head pommel. It is complete with a leather scabbard with brass throat, suspension band and drag.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The blade is dark with scattered pitting. There are traces of the original engraving. The brass shows a deep aged patina, with signs of soldering at a few of the joints. Grip slightly undersized with cracks and chips. The scabbard is fair, with some separation, scuffing and cracking of the leather.
