Standard model manufactured 1858 to 1861 with between 750 and 1000 produced. Marked "ALLEN & WHEELOCK WORCESTER, MASS / ALLEN'S PT'S. JAN 13. DEC 15, 1857. SEPT. 7, 1858" on the left side of the barrel. The matching serial number is marked on the ramming lever, the cylinder pin, left side of the frame under the grip and on the inside of both grip panels. The front sight is a brass blade on a dovetail base and the rear is a groove in the top of the frame. The cylinder is engraved with a forest scene of a dog chasing a deer. The rammer lever is part of the trigger guard and is held at the rear with a spring catch. The threaded cylinder pin removes from the rear. The revolver was finished blue with a casehardened cylinder, hammer and trigger guard. Fitted with two-piece walnut grips.

Very good. The metal surfaces have a smooth gray patina with signs of cleaning on the frame, left side plate and trigger guard. The grips are very good with almost all of the original varnish remaining. There is a small chip on the left toe, scattered minor chips in the finish and a few minor dents and handling marks. The markings are clear. The cylinder scene is all intact and clear. The mechanics are excellent.

Described in "A" with a 4" barrel and the cylinder scene has a deer lying in the forest. The matching serial number is marked on the trigger guard, frame under the grips and stamped on the inside of each grip panel. The cylinder pin is numbered "353".

Very good. The metal surfaces have a smooth gray patina. There are a few minor dents and dings on the left side of the barrel at the muzzle. The grips are very good retaining approximately 30% original varnish with some scattered minor dings and dents. The barrel marking is readable (top line fading) and the cylinder scene is intact and clear. The action is excellent.
