Manufactured in 1899, the rib is marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS, MERIDEN CONN. BERNARD STEEL" and are 3/13 weight with a brass bead front sight and are choked Cyl/Imp.Cyl. The size number 1 1/2 frame has the two line patent dates on the water table and standard C grade floral scroll engraving with a pointer on the left and a setter on the right with an elk on the bottom. The pistol grip marble figured stock is checkered at the grip with fancy curved borders and drop points to the rear of the action panels and features a hard rubber grip cap, a silver oval inlay at the toe and an unmarked red rubber recoil pad with a 14 3/8" pull. The checkered forearm has the standard engraved forend tip and the engraved two line patent forearm latch.

Very fine. The barrels show about 95% of their Bernard Steel pattern with some thinning at the carry point. The action retains approximately 20% faded case color, mostly in protected areas, the balance a silver gray. The trigger guard is a silver gray also. The stock shows about 95% of its freshened finish with light handling marks. The action locks up tight, the triggers and safety are a little stiff, possibly from old oil build up.
