Manufactured in 1882 the barrels marked on the top rib "PARKER BROS. MAKERS, MERIDEN CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL" with a brass bead front sight and choked Cyl/ImpCyl. The size number 1 frame is marked on the water table with the two line patent and a one line patent under the serial number. The locks and frame are engraved with about G grade decoration with floral scrolls and game birds, featuring two quail on the left lock plate and two pheasants on the right with a snipe on the bottom of the frame. Both locks are marked "PARKER BROS." and the trigger guard finial is marked with a single line patent. The checkered pistol grip stock features a silver shield on top of the wrist and a hard rubber grip cap and Parker Bros. buttplate with the dog and bird logo. The checkered forearm has the standard engraved forend tip and forearm latch that is marked with a single line patent. The barrels, frame and forearm all match. Length of pull approximately 13 1/2".

Very good. The barrels show about 60% fading Damascus finish with the balance turning gray with areas of light speckling. The frame, hammers and locks show about 10% light faded casehardening in protected areas with the balance and the trigger guard silver. The stock has had a coat of finish put on it long ago and shows about 95% of this finish. The buttplate has small chips at the right side and the toe.
