World War II Winchester M1 Garand Rifle. The rifle has a black parkerized finish with oil-finished walnut stock, hand guard and forearm. The rifle has been partially restored and has the correct, "WRA" marked trigger housing, milled hand guard, hammer, safety, bolt, operating rod and gas cylinder. The right side of the receiver leg is stamped: "D28291-2W.R.A.". The barrel is a 1960s Winchester replacement; the right side of the chamber is stamped "WINCHESTER 6535448 3-67". The "D35382 W.R.A." operating rod has the post WWII relief cut. The rifle is fitted with "H.R.A." post-war, Type 3" rear sights, a 'high hump' gas cylinder lock and a post-war gas cylinder lock screw. The stock has a post war National Defense final inspection and an encircled "P" proof mark on the underside of the pistol grip. The rifle is fitted with a reproduction Model 1907 russet leather sling.

Arsenal refurbished. The rifle retains nearly 90% of the arsenal dark parkerized finish. Most of the finish wear is located on the trigger housing group and buttplate; the finish is thin on the floor plate and trigger guard and the buttplate has a silver-gray patina. There is some edge wear on the sides of the receiver. There is minor pitting beneath the finish on the barrel and gas cylinder. The stock, hand guard and forearm are in very fine condition with sharp inspection and proof marks and only minor handling wear. This is a very good example of an arsenal overhauled Winchester M1 Garand rifle.
