Fixed sights, with the frame marked "SHAW & LEYDOYT / STAFFORD CT." and the barrel marked "CAST STEEL". Fancy tiger stripe wood, with a sharp bend for the tapered leaf shaped grip and a wide brass band going from the breech to the rear sight.

Good, with a dull gray patina, light handling marks, and some spotting and pitting. Good grip, with a small chip absent from the front left side and mild pressure dents. Hammer cracked and chipped. Brass shows a fine aged patina, darker in the protected areas.

Fixed sights, with "E.C. BURDEN" on the barrel near the burst-engraved muzzle and light engraving running back onto the top strap. Bar hammer with serrations and a smooth curved trigger. Smooth semi-fancy grip, with a 90 degree bend, rounded butt, and iron reinforcement plates.

Fair, with a mixed brown patina overall and heavy spotting at the muzzle. Wood is very good, with some mild varnish loss and pressure dents. A small section absent from the right side of the hammer, otherwise action is good.

Made circa 1829-1830. The frame is marked "A.RUGGLES / STAFFORD", with the right flat marked "CAST. STEEL.". Engraved top strap, with leafy vine and sunburst designs. Smooth hardwood grip, with silver wire inlays and a brass plate starting at the rear of the top strap and covering the grip straps and underside up to the breech.

Fair, with a mixed gray patina overall, hints of original blue and light handling marks. Wood is good as repaired, with mild scratches and pressure dents. The silver has taken on a deep aged patina, and the brass shows a fine mixed color, darker in the protected areas. Mechanically good, with some cracking of the hammer tip.
