This is James Montgomery Flaggs' famous Uncle Sam WWI recruiting poster with the "I Want You" caption that was reissued during WWII. Measures 29" x 39". The 1917 copyright/Leslie-Judge Company marking is near the bottom. In a wooden frame (consignor reports that it has a linen backing and preserved in an acid free baking framed with lexan).

Rating Definition:

Fair. Significant paper loss along lower left corner borders and some fraying and edge wear. There are some minor tears and wrinkles and minor rippling from being rolled. A small hole is present on the image directly on the lips. There is some staining, but the colors remain vivid and bright. Frame is pulling away at the corners.
