Description:

Produced in 1917. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block Colt patents and address on the left side of the slide "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY" on the right and "H" above the firing pin stop. Fixed square profile rear sight, with the edges ground down. "GHS" inspector mark and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the left side of the frame, with "NO" style serial number on the right. Fitted with the long trigger, wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, checkered slide stop and thumb safety and flat mainspring housing with lanyard staple. Reblued barrel, makers markings removed. Checkered hardwood grips with diamond patterns around the screws. Two tone magazine, unmarked.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with approximately 60% of the blue, with a gray patina forming on the slide and grip straps, scattered spotting on the underside of the frame and slide, bright gray along the high edges and some mild handling and polishing marks. Grips are about good, with smooth heavy wear on the lower edges, mild pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
