Manufactured in 1944. The left side of the slide is marked with "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." and a "P" proof on top of the slide ahead of the rear sight. The right side of the frame is stamped with the Ordnance Corps cartouche behind the grips, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" around the stop hole, over the "NO." style serial number. The left side of the frame is stamped with Frank J. Atwood's inspector mark and "P" around the magazine release. Fitted with a checkered stamped trigger, thin checkered hammer spur, checkered thumb safety, serrated slide catch, serrated mainspring housing and late style Keyes Fiber grips. High Standard barrel, with the magazine marked "S" on the toe.

Excellent, with approximately 95-97% of the original parkerized finish, showing a few areas of bright gray along the high edges and on the sides of the grip safety and hammer, along with a few mild handling marks overall. Grips are excellent, showing some mild pressure dents and scratches on the otherwise sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
