One of only 500 guns, made in 1979. Fixed sights, with the left side of the barrel etched "XIT" and a longhorn steer head, with "1 OF 500" and "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" engraved, and the right side etched "XIT RANCH" with a covered wagon scene. Additional Ranch scenes on the frame, with the backstrap depicting cowboys in full regalia and the unfluted cylinder etched with scenes of the Texas State Capitol and a panorama of the gate to the XIT. With wood grain box labeled to gun, and factory letter which confirms the features and the gun's status as a sample and display piece in the factory collection. The syndicate that owned the XIT Ranch got the 3 million acres from the State in exchange for the construction of a $3 million Capitol Building.

Excellent, with 99% of the original nickel finish, with some very slight staining and spotting overall, along with some light handling marks. Grips are excellent, with only very mild pressure dents. Box is fair, with edge wear and a separated flap. Mechanically excellent.
