The top of the barrel extension is dated 1917 and the toggle is marked "DWM". The left side of the barrel extension has the two crown over letter proofs next to a single crown and is dated 1917 just below the proofs. The bottom of the barrel has another "Crown / M" proof with the serial number rearward. The front of the frame has the serial number as well and the safety is marked "GESICHERT". The sights are a fixed front and two position naval style rear sight with a push button bar that allows the sight to slide on a dove-tail mount. The magazine is a nickel plated body with a wood bottom base plate that has been renumbered to the gun.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains approximately 95-97% of the original blue finish with fading at the muzzle and on the barrel extension around the proofmarking. There is some high edge wear and several areas of moderate pitting on the right side of the barrel. All markings are clear and crisp. The wood is excellent and shows only light handling marks scattered throughout. The grip straps hold most of the original finish with only minor wear at the lower portions and the stock lug edges. Mechanically excellent.
