Description:

This is the second model with the National Eagle configured pommel on top, it has a 10 inch spear point double fuller blade, with an anchor and rope-themed etched panel on each side, marked "ORIGINAL EICKHORN SOLINGEN" with standing squirrel on the ricasso. Gilt brass dual-quillion cross guard with the fouled anchor designs in the center and the spring loaded latch on one side and white twist celluloid grip with braided gold wire. With a gilt brass "lightning bolt" sheath, decorated with oak leaf patterns and fitted with a pair of oak leaf suspension rings.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall. Light scattered etching/ pitting is visible on the blade, with minor spotting and handling marks. The gilt components show a mix of original gold and an aged brass patina, strongest on the high areas and in a wide patch about on the otherwise excellent sheath between the hangers.
