This is a good example of a late WWII K43 rifle as manufactured by the Berlin-Lubecker factory that has been fitted with a reproduction scope mount and Russian PU Sniper Scope. The rifle has the late markings of "eagle 214 Waffenamt/serial number/K. 43/qve45". It has an earlier (non-matching) bolt cover that has the locking mechanism on the right side with the cocking knob on the left side and the receiver has the single bolt guide. The scope mount is an early reproduction with the angled ends and the narrower middle (leg) supports with no markings on the locking lever. The scope is an original WWII PU model for the Mosin-Nagant that is marked with the" Hammer and Sickle over 91/30 over the serial number" and "1943", and the right side of the scope is dated "1951". The rifle has been fitted with a wartime laminated stock and handguard with the sheet metal cupped buttplate. It is complete with an original "aye" marked K43 magazine, a reproduction leather sling and cleaning rod.

Refinished/assembled/rewelded (bolt carrier) overall with half of a partial phosphate finish mixed with some old reblue on the receiver and bolt carrier. The scope mount is in good condition and the Russian PU scope has 98% blued finish with optics. The stock and handguard show signs of having been sanded on the side of the butt and forend with an old reoiling. A very nice representative example of a late WWII German K43 rifle.
