Very early Prewar 1935 pistol. Left side of slide marked with "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE / HERSTAL BELGIQUE / BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE.", with the Liege proof on the barrel, ring hammer, and matching serial numbers. Fitted with a 500 meter tangent rear sight and stock slot cut in the backstrap. Grips are checkered hardwood complete with a reproduction, dark varnished, hardwood shoulder stock/ holster marked "MADE IN CANADA" on the left side and "S.A. LTD./ 1945" on the right near the mounting hardware with a green canvas belt hanger.

Very good, with 85% of the current blue overall. The left side of the slide is turning a light brown patina with most of the blue near the rear and some loss of detail in the markings. A gray patina is showing on the rear grip strap and some light handling marks and spotting is visible overall. Grips are very good, with mild pressure dents and scratches. Stock shows a few minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
