These rifles were the German version of the Czech VZ33 carbine and were manufactured on the small ring, light weight 98K Mauser action with a smaller, lighter weight barrel and stock. The top of the receiver is marked "dot", the wartime code for the BRNO factory, over "1941", and the left side of the receiver has the serial number and single Eagle firing proof, the side wall is marked "G33/40". The right side of the receiver is marked with two "eagle/63" proofs, and another eagle proof. The left side of the buttstock has the unique metal plate (only found on G33/40) in front of the buttplate to protect it from damage while in use. The right side of the buttstock below the takedown washer is stamped with three "WaA63" proofs, an" eagle/WaA63" near the trigger and the underside "9848 / b". Has an unmarked leather sling, cleaning rod and front sight hood. Complete with a "dot" marked bayonet numbered "3583 / c".

Rating Definition:

Very good overall. The rifle retains approximately 95% original blue finish with wear on the edges and high spots. The stock is very good with some pressure dents, dings and scratches from actual field use. The bayonet is very good, and has been cleaned bright and some dark minor pitting. It has matching numbers except the bolt.
