Hooded inverted "V" front sight and rear sight graduated to 2000 yards. The scope is a commercial Zeiss version that is marked on the rear of the tube with "Carl / Zeiss /Jena / Zielvier / nr. 45895", with the left side marked, "ERNST STEIGLER BERLIN" with double mounts. Eagle firing proofs on the barrel and receiver, "Eagle/135" proof on the barrel, "MOD. 98" on the left receiver wall, and "eagle/63" proofs ahead of the trigger guard. Most of the markings are highlighted in white and the buttplate is blued. The buttstock has an "Eagle/swastika" over "H". Visible numbers match.

Very good, as assembled and refinished. The rifle retains approximately 85% of the current blue with the balance a mixture of smooth brown and smooth gray patina. There is some finished over minor pitting. The stock is excellent with some minor dings and a couple minor gashes. The scope retains approximately 90% of the blue with the balance a smooth gray patina and some minor pitting. The optics are clear.
