Exceptional example of an original, unaltered prewar contract Mauser rifle. Blade front and tangent rear sights, the latter stamped with a small anchor, the former fitted with a push-on sight protector/ muzzle cover. Argentine crest over the chamber area, with standard markings on the receiver, with niter blue bolt catch and matching numbered bolt. Smooth pistol grip walnut stock with correct stock proofs on the side and pistol grip area of the stock, matching numbered ramrod, brown leather sling and smooth flat buttplate. With a 15 3/4" WKC bayonet, bright blade, 1891 markings, alloy grips and metal sheath.

As new with 99% of the original blue finish, showing light scratches concentrated around the muzzle from the bayonet with light thinning on top of the rear barrel band. Stock is excellent, with mild handling marks and sharp proofs. Leather is strong and supple. Bayonet is also excellent overall with 98% blue on the scabbard and correct polished blade. The rifle has all matching numbers. Just a super example of a prewar rifle.
