This is an early Walther P.38 with stacked "ac/41" code and date. The left side of the slide is marked "P.38" followed by "ac/41" and the serial number, with the "eagle/ swastika" firing proof and flanking "eagle/ 359" proofs on the right side. The "359" proof is repeated on the other parts The serial number is marked on the left side of the frame and front of the barrel lug. The locking block is correctly marked with the firing proof and "eagle / 359" on the sides and "547" on the bottom. Fitted with dark brown bakelite grips and a magazine marked "P.38v" on the right side and "eagle / WaA 06 and "jvd" on the left.

Very good. The pistol retains approximately 85% of the original finish with thinning on the slide, barrel and front strap and overall high edge wear. The right side of the slide and barrel show signs of some cleaning and there is some light corrosion spotting on the slide and front strap. The grips are excellent with a few minor dings and light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
