Manufactured in 1888. German silver blade front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight on a number 1 barrel with the two line address and "32 SHORT" at the breech. Serial number and patent date are marked on the lower tang. Mounted on a smooth Schnabel forearm with ebony insert and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Fine. The barrel retains approximately 30-40% of the slightly faded original blue with the balance a smooth brown patina and some minor spotting (mostly near the breech and muzzle). The rest of the metal surfaces have a smooth gray patina with traces of faded case colors on the breechblock. The buttstock is very fine with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
