Description:

Produced in 1951 and 1952, these works of art are the product of one Frank Polk, noted member of the Cowboy Artists of America and a self-described "whittler", who made each of these figures by hand, with a Mills Hightop machine serving as the torso. Polk himself chose the Hightop, which he felt was the best fit. The assembly is mounted on a round base and measures 69 1/2" tall and roughly 19" broad at the shoulders, decorated as a Western character in brown boots, blue jeans, and a red striped shirt, with the right sleeve pinned up above the elbow and the left hand holding a carved, royal blue painted Single Action Army. The face sports large sideburns, long mustache, and blue painted eyes, with a Hunter brand holster on his hip. The face of the machine is painted red with black stripes, has nickel accents, black filled lettering and clear jackpot, reel and escalator windows. On top of the head is a Bailey brand "Drafter" fedora hat, size 7 3/8", brown felt with leather band.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with some minor wear on the paint. Mechanically excellent, paying out on "triple bell" during testing.
