Manufactured in 1892. The number 3 marked octagon barrel is stamped with the two line barrel address and "25 W.C.F" (on the top flat) and is equipped with a combination beech front sight and a single leaf rear sight. Also equipped with a tang peep sight. Serial number and patent date are marked on the lower tang. Mounted on a smooth straight grip stock and Schnabel forearm with ebony tip.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel retains approximately 25% of the faded original blue with the balance a smooth brown patina and gray on the high edges. The frame has very limited traces of faded case colors in the protected areas, overall a mottled gray patina including on the lever. The buttplate has a smooth dark patina with some minor pitting at the toe. The wood is also very good with some minor dings, scratches and pressure dents and a couple shallow gashes. A "W" is marked over the patent date, otherwise the markings are clear. Mechanically fine.
