Produced in Belgium from 1924 to 1976, this shotgun was manufactured in 1955 with the desirable vent rib. Features a single ivory bead front sight on a vent rib barrel with select grade, semi gloss, checkered European walnut round pistol grip stock and forearm, gold plated trigger and Browning FN hard rubber buttplate. Floral and border scroll engraved action which extends onto the trigger guard and tang. The left side of the receiver is marked, "Sweet Sixteen (in cursive script)/BROWNING". Chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells choked improved cylinder. Length of pull approximately 14 1/8".

Excellent, 97% original finish. There is some minor edge wear and light thinning on the rear and underside of the receiver, tang, and barrel breech (along the typical hand placement areas). The stock is good with minor crazing to the underlying varnish on both the forearm and shoulder stock. There is an approximate 2 1/2 inch repaired crack on the left hand side of the stock extending from the upper tang to the lower tang. The stock exhibits a few minor scratches with some moderate varnish flaking along the lower tang. The bore is very good and the markings and engravings are crisp.
