Single bead sight on a solid rib. Barrels feature 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked full/full with ejectors, "SIMSON SUHL/ MADE IN GDR" on the left barrel and "SPECIAL - GEWEHRLAUFSTAHL" on the right. Satin steel action is deep relief scroll engraved with game scenes on the sides: a rabbit on the left and a dog grasping a duck on the right. Matching numbered barrels and frame are proofed marked. Double trigger and tang safety. Mounted on a checkered grip forearm and straight grip stock with sling swivels and checkered factory buttplate. Length of pull approximately 14 1/8".

Excellent. The shotgun retains approximately 99% original blue finish with some light forearm wear. The frame is very good with storage residue. The wood has some mild handling marks. Overall the checkering is sharp. An example of the highest quality from a East German craftsman during the communist era, identified by the proof marks.
