Single bead front sight on a solid rib. Double triggers and underside break lever. Fine scroll engraved action, break lever, hammers and lock plates. "JOS. H. TYE" is marked on both lock plates. Blue barrel, trigger guard/lower tang and hammers and once casehardened action. "Crown/V" proofs on the water table. Fiddleback English walnut checkered straight grip stock with horn buttplate and checkered forearm with single barrel wedge and insert. Tear drop stock flats. "A.C. King / Aloultan / 1878" marked on the initial plate on the buttstock underside. Complete with a leather mutton case with an initial plate. Length of pull approximately 13 7/8".

Refinished. Barrels and hammers retain about 98% blued finish with gray patina forming at the muzzles, limited spotting and some finished over blemishes. The trigger guard/lower tang has a smooth brown patina, a screw is missing and limited mild pitting. The rest of the metal surfaces have a bright gray patina. There is a sliver missing on the forearm and a hairline crack on the wrist, otherwise the lightly sanded, cleaned and refinished wood has some minor dings and scratches. The checkering is good. The markings are faint, but the engraving is clear. The case is fine with some minor scratches and scuff marks. Some heavy age cracking on the straps. Most of the stitching is tight.
