Description:

This is C.M. Russell's bronze sculpture of Will Rogers (head only) wearing his famous cowboy hat and a detail face showing age wrinkles. Signed by the artist on the back of the neck with his head logo stamped 1904, RBW Roman Bronze Works. Measures 13 inches tall, 10 inches wide and 9 inches long. Rests on a 2 inch tall green marble plinth with brass title plaque. With Jerome Beatty's "The Story of Will Rogers" (paperback book, 1935).

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retains a pleasant bronze patina with some light handling marks mostly on the plinth. The book is very good with typical aged discoloration and some edge fraying.
