Manufactured between 1912 and 1932, this appears to be the "Armory Model" Ideal Rifle. The heavy barrel is marked "22-L.R." on the left side and the two line address information is marked upside down on the right. Blade front sight, receiver peep sight adjustable for windage and elevation and adjustable tang peep sight. Blue with casehardened frame, hammer, breechblock and "S" shaped lever. The three line trademark information is marked on the left side of the frame. Mounted on a plain straight grip stock and semi-beaver tail forearm fastened by a single barrel band. Sling swivel on barrel band and underside of butt. Fitted with a shotgun hard rubber buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel retains approximately 90% of the slightly faded original blue finish mixed with the beginnings of a brown patina and a few streaks of brown. The barrel band has a smooth brown patina. The receiver and lever retain about 40% of the vivid case colors strongest around the hammer. There are a couple minor gouges on the forearm, otherwise the wood is fine with a few minor dents and some minor scratches and dings. The markings are clear.
