A. Hubalek, a barrel maker who operated out of Brooklyn, was active from c.1925 until his death in 1952. Extra-heavy barrel made without sights, marked "A. HUBALEK" between the rear-mounted scope blocks, with the muzzle area drilled and tapped for block mounting. Casehardened frame, with three line Stevens markings, upper tang drilled and tapped, serrated hammer, long trigger guard lever and shoed trigger. Checkered custom stock, with wide beavertail forearm, pistol grip, sling swivels and a serrated butt.

Custom barreled, with approximately 70% of the blue finish. A dark brown patina is showing on the barrel, with streaks of lighter color and some light scratches and handling marks. Bright case colors are visible on the frame, strongest under and around the lever, with some silvering on the sides and a brown patina forming on the upper tang. Stock is very good as custom made, with some lightening of the varnish on the forearm, looseness of the buttstock and mild pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically needs minor work as the hammer will not retract to the full cock position
