Manufactured in 1893. Blade front sight and buckhorn rear sight on a number 3 barrel marked with the two line address and "38-55". Serial number and patent date on the lower tang. Has a set trigger. Mounted on a plain Schnabel forearm with ebony insert and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Very good plus. The barrel retains approximately 20% of the original blue finish mixed with a smooth brown patina and some pin prick pitting. The frame retains about 20% of the faded case colors mixed with a mottled gray patina. A smooth dark gray patina is on the lever. The buttplate has a bright gray patina and some minor pitting mostly on the heel. There is a moderate gouge on the buttstock, otherwise the wood is fine with some minor scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
