Manufactured in 1887. Blade front sight and buckhorn rear sight on a barrel marked with the two line address and "22 LONG" at the breech. Lower tang is marked with the serial number and patent date. Mounted on a plain Schnabel forearm with ebony insert and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus. The barrel retains approximately half of the faded original blue finish mixed with a smooth brown patina strongest at the breech and some minor spotting. The frame, lever, buttplate have a smooth brown patina and some minor spotting heavier on the lever. The otherwise fine wood has numerous minor dings and scratches and a few minor dents and gouges. The handling marks are mostly concentrated on the buttstock. The markings are clear. Mechanically fine.
