Produced circa 1870-1887 by Iver Johnson and their predecessors Iver Bye and Company, and distributed by James Brown and Company. Manufactured without sights, and showing punch-dot backed scroll engraving running across the sides of the frame and barrel, and a small amount behind the hammer. Smooth spur trigger and hammer spur, with a pair of bird's head grips.

Fine, with approximately 85% nickel finish, showing minor flaking and pitting, concentrated on the barrel. Fine grips, with some dark discoloration. Mechanically good.
