Manufactured by the Gustloff-Werke Factory in 1943. The top of the receiver ring is marked with an eagle/749 proof over "bcd / 43", with a firing proof and the serial number on the left side. The receiver wall is marked "Mod. 98". The barrel is marked with a firing proof, along with "avk 24 43 bys". Inverted "V" front sight without hood and tangent rear sight. The smooth laminated stock is unmarked and has a stock disc. Visible numbers match except on the bolt release. Complete with cleaning rod.

Very fine. The rifle retains approximately 95% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The extractor has a smooth dark brown patina. The wood is excellent with some scattered minor dings and scratches.
