Rating Definition:

Excellent overall with 95% of the original blued finish on the pistol with minor edge and high spot wear with some more blue loss on the front edges of the frame rails, scratches on the underside of the barrel with some thinning on the back grip strap from use with the shoulder stock. The pistol has matching numbers except for the stock. The stock is in very good condition overall, have been cleaned and lightly sanded but with no cracks or damage. It retains 90% of the blue finish on the refinished hinge with 30% blue on the attaching iron. The leather carrying harness is in very good condition overall showing wear and use overall with some flattening of the belt loop, age cracking of the hold down strap, and ammunition pouch on the front with minor scratches and marks on the lower front with tight stitching overall. A nice example of an early commercial contract Red-Nine Broomhandle rig.
