Manufactured in 1930. The left side of the barrel is marked "38" next to "DETECTIVE / SPECIAL" with the two-line Colt Hartford/patent dates marking on the right. Uncircled Rampant Colt is marked on the left side of the frame.

Excellent, with 99% original blue finish remaining with a noticeable cylinder drag line, some scattered light scratches and scattered very light spotting. The grips are also excellent with the exception of two small notches on the left panel bottom edge and some scattered light handling marks. Overall the checkering is crisp.
