Manufactured in 1931. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates, the left side is marked "COLT POLICE / POSITIVE 38" and the Rampant Colt appears on the left side of the frame. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights. Complete with the original hinged lid maroon box numbered to the gun, hanging tag and cleaning brush.

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% original finish with some minor edge wear present on the muzzle with some finish loss an the left side of the barrel and on the cylinder caused by a solvent or chemical. There is a faint drag line on the cylinder and overall light handling marks. The grips are excellent with a couple very minor dings, light handling marks and sharp checkering. The box is excellent with some minor contact wear on the inside.
