The Type II was manufactured from 1888 to 1911. Marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y." on top of the barrel rib. Blade front sight and notch rear sight on hinged tip-up barrel with manual extractor. The breech end of the barrel frame and backstrap are factory engraved in a simple vine pattern. The Smooth spur trigger and checkered hammer with mobile firing pin. The grips are factory mother of pearl. Complete with a period rosewood case french fitted to the gun with 21 cartridge cut outs.

Fine as period replated. The barrel retain 95% nickel finish which shows a frosted tint and some overall handling marks. The frame also retains 95% nickel finish with some minor handling marks and surface scratches. The grips are good with exception of a few very small age cracks and dings on the left stock. The action is excellent.
