Description:

Six-shot barrel cluster is marked "ALLEN THURBER & CO WORCHESTER" on one flute and "PATENTED / 1846." on another flute. The bar hammer is unmarked. The removable percussion nipple shield and frame feature a scroll engraving, with a scalloped border engraving on the backstrap. Matching serial number on the frame, hammer spring and both grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel cluster retains 50% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina with some minor spotting and pitting. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth brown-gray patina with some scattered minor spotting. The hammer retains flashes of case colors. The grips are very fine with some minor dings and scratches. Most of the varnish remains.
