Made circa 1870. Blade sight, with "C. H. BALLARD & Co. / WORCESTER, MASS. / PATD. JUNE 22, 1869" on the left side of the barrel, "BALLARD'S" on top and a checkered catch below the chamber. Checkered hammer, smooth spur trigger and smooth birds head walnut grips. Serial number marked on frame under right panel and stamped on the inside of both grips.

Very fine, with approximately 75% of the original nickel finish. Some heavy flaking and frosting is visible overall, with scattered mild handling marks. Grips are good, with some varnish loss and dings. Mechanically very good.
